In the morning you will discover the highlights of the City of Angels. After breakfast, Drive to Mae Sai. the most northern point of Thailand which is also the border city to Myanmar. A stop will be made at Nanglae Village en-route to Mae Sai, where you can experience the daily life of the 5 hill tribes villager Akha, Yao, Lisu, Palong, and Longneck Karen.
The Karen, a tribal minority, historically lived in the hills on the Myanmar side of the border. Some of their women wear heavy brass rings around their necks, forearms, and shins. Many ideas regarding why the coils are worn have been suggested. Some have hypothesized that the rings protected women from becoming slaves by making them less attractive to other tribes.
Lunch will be provided in a local restaurant. Afterward, you will drive to the famous Golden Triangle the border area where Burma Laos and Myanmar are met. Visit a local Opium Museum to gain more knowledge about the former trade of opium in this region and then visit the meeting point of Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand. Currently, there is a massive Buddha image which is a venerated object for the people in the Mekong region.
Enjoy a boat trip on the Mekong River to see the area where the borders of Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand are met. Check-in at your hotel at the golden triangle

After Breakfast. You will leave for Chiang Mai. Mae Khachan natural Hot Spring in Vieng Papao district for lunch and you can also enjoy your foot bath here.
After that continue driving with a beautiful landscape along the scenic route to Chiang Mai.

Breakfast at the hotel and then drive on to visit the Mae Sa Elephant Camp which is located outside of Chiang Mai where you will see how the Elephants are trained for their job in the jungle from a very young age on with their performances. Here, you also have a chance to take an optional riding on an elephant through the jungle(extra pay). Afterward, you will proceed to an orchid farm near Mae Rim district for your lunch. After Lunch, visit Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, the sacred temple with challenging the flight of steps which are flanked by Naga, the mythical serpents. The sacred temple contains a holy relic of the Lord Buddha. A panoramic view of the city can be seen from here at 1500 feet above sea level. Visit San Kam Phang, villages and factories producing pottery, lacquerware, paper umbrellas, and silk. With so many crafts concentrated in one area, it is one of the best places to watch craftsmen at work.
In the evening you can stroll on your own over the night market. Overnight in Chiang Mai.
