Day 1 – Chiang Mai - Chiang Rai

Chiang MAI - Mae-Kachan Hot Spring - Wat Rong Khun

Breakfast at hotel and check-out. Proceed to Chiang Rai (3 hours). On the way, short stop at Mae-Kachan Hot Spring. Continue to visit Wat Rong Khun or White Temple is an unconventional Buddhist temple in Chiang Rai, Thailand. Designed in 1997 by noted Thai painter-turned-architect Chalermchai Kositpipat, this magnificent temple is a bizarre blend of traditional Thai architecture and the surreal. Day 2 – Chiang Rai-Chiang Sean (BREAKFAST)

Long Neck -Mae Sai Border - Golden Triangle - Opium House - Long Tail Boat - Don-Xao Island-Chiang Saen

Breakfast at hotel. First stop is visiting Akha, Yao and Long Neck women hill tribe villages in Mae Chan area. Continue to visiting of the northern most of Thailand at Mae Sai Border where Mae Sai is the border between Thailand and Myanmar. Here is both a famous bargain shopping centre and an important jewelry centre, especially jade ornaments etc. (This program will visit in Thai side only, optional to cross the border to Tachileik) Lunch at Silamanee Hotel (International buffet). Transfer to visit the world famous Golden Triangle, where the borders of three countries meet – Thailand, Laos and Myanmar. After lunch, visit Hall of Opium – an insightful museum focusing on the history of the Golden Triangle and the opium trade with fully exhibits from display, light and sound. Next, you will experience on the boat cruise down the well-known Khong River by long tail boat and enter Don-Xao Island, Laos market (please show passport when go into the island). and drive further to Chiang Saen, the historic town, to visit Wat Chedi Luang. Wat Phra That Chom Kitti the temple with the 308 steps.   Check into the hotel in Chiang Saen

Day 3 –  Chiang Saen -Chiang mai  (BREAKFAST)

 Breakfast at hotel and check-out.

Today you will return to Chiangmai via scenic route. On the way. We will pass Doi Mae Salong , Santi Kiri KMT Yunan Chinese Refugee settlement, with its tea plantations and see also co‐op store where home‐made wines, medical herbs and other locally grown products are sold. The villagers are ethnic Chinese, descendants of KMT Nationalist Chinese army regiment that took refugee in Thailand almost 50 years ago when Communist Forces won the civil war in mainland China. Doi Tung enjoys a cool and refreshing climate all year round. In January, Japanese Sakura flowers cover the hillsides.

Next stop is Wat Tha Ton, A large monastery bordering the village, it occupies an area of more than 160 acres on a number of hills. There are nine stations to visit for Buddhist pilgrims. The temple complex is on the bank of the Mae Nam Kok (Kok River) and offers beautiful scenery. The temple also houses a school for monks, novices, and youths as well as a drug rehabilitation centre and a hill tribe support unit.

Drive further to Chiang mai via Chiang Dao mountain range.
