Vientiane - Ban Phon Ngeng By vehicle from
Vientiane to Nahine and on by local boat to the guesthouse The
road passes the beautiful scenery of Khammouane province's
Limestone Forest. In Nahine a small road turns towards Hinboun
river. Continue by boat upstream for about 2 hours to reach
the Sala Hinboun Guesthouse.On the second day Ban Phon Ngeng
Excursion by boat to Kong Lor Cave located in Phou Hinboun
NBCA, this cave arches over an 8 kilometer long underwater
river. It is possible to journey by boat through the cave,
passing the legendary ‘Naga Palace’, a wider area inside the
cave where stalagmites and stalactites form impressive
columns. At the entrance, a crystal clear pool is an inviting
spot for swimming. The excursion also includes a short visit
to Kong Lor village, situated amidst the ricefields and
limestone mountains.On the third day Ban Phon Ngeng
Trekking/biking excursion through the surrounding countryside
a full day of exploring the beautiful area of Hinboun, either
on foot and/or by bicycle. There are interesting traditional
villages and caves to explore, such as Nam Nohn cave.On the
last day Ban Phon Ngeng by boat to Nahine and continue by car
to Lak Sao (border with Vietnam)in the early morning, take the
boat downsteam Hinboun river to reach Nahine. Continue by
vehicle along the winding road to Lak Sao (visa for Vietnam is
